EDDIE VEDDER Appearing On THE ROLLING STONES Guitarist's Album
April 7, 2009The Pulse of Radio reports that PEARL JAM vocalist Eddie Vedder will make a guest appearance on an upcoming solo album from THE ROLLING STONES guitarist Ron Wood, according to Billboard.com. Wood announced the album on Saturday night (April 4) after inducting Bobby Womack into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Cleveland. Wood said that he has recorded about a dozen songs for the record, which will be titled "More Good News", while producer Bob Rock later confirmed that he had worked on a track which featured Vedder.
PEARL JAM reissued its classic 1991 debut album, "Ten", two weeks ago on March 24 in a deluxe edition available in four different versions.
The reissue sold nearly 60,000 copies in its first week of release, with a surprising amount of fans willing to drop almost $140 for the most expensive version, a "Super Deluxe" package containing two CDs, the DVD, four vinyl records, a load of printed memorabilia and a cassette duplication of the original 1990 PEARL JAM demo. The band is currently recording its ninth studio album and first with Brendan O'Brien behind the mixing board since 1998's "Yield".
